Rubber Won’t Work!
This is important because today’s fuel is so caustic that old school, rubber-core braided lines will start to weep and fail after about 12 to 18 months of exposure to the fuel. Rubber hoses start to seep fuel vapor long before they fail (notice how your garage smells like gasoline when your car sits for a while? That’s the rubber seeping fuel vapor…).
Teflon/Conductive Core Hoses
The ‘conductive’ aspect of the PTFE hose is a carbon layer that is applied to the inside diameter of the hose to allow any static charge in the hose to transfer into the fittings and then be safely ‘grounded’ into the vehicle. Static charge is generated by the fuel passing through the PTFE hose. So…never run ‘white’ or non-conductive PTFE hose in your vehicle—this is a HUGE safety issue.
TechAFX conductive core, PTFE hose braided steel hose uses the same construction materials as what all the O.E.M.s (Original Equipment Manufacturers) use on today’s production cars. You can expect superior quality & excellent durability from TechAFX PTFE products. We have the test results to prove it!
